Project status

Project status

The status of a Seamless room allows project organizations to easily distinguish between active and completed projects. It enables you to mark a project as completed while still maintaining full access to data, offering more flexibility than Microsoft's standard archiving process.

What statuses does Seamless support?

  • Active: The project is marked active.
  • Inactive: The project is completed and appears as inactive in the list. The team can still be used without any restrictions.

Common use-case for project organisations

Larger project organizations often create, update, and archive Teams workspaces directly from their industry-specific solutions, such as Abacus, Vertec, or Volta, using the Seamless API. Typically, projects are marked as complete in the industry solution for accounting purposes, but the Teams workspace may still need to be actively used. In such cases, the industry solution sets the Teams workspace to "inactive" via the API.

Seamless also supports the ability to activate or deactivate the archive option for a Teams workspace by simply changing its status, ensuring a well-organized project closure and efficient management of teams.
