Group-based SharePoint access

Microsoft Teams does not support granting permissions via security groups. If many people need consistent access to content, a team must either be public or users must be added individually.

Seamless closes this gap with group-based permissions in SharePoint. As a result, departments, locations or roles automatically get access to documents and libraries without having to be members of the team.

Set SharePoint permissions

1. Open Groups → Templates → organisation → template → SharePoint.

2. Under Permissions, add users or security groups:

   • Site Owners: SharePoint owners group
   • Site Members: SharePoint members group
   • Site Visitors: SharePoint visitors group

3. Save the template.
