Seamless API
With the Seamless REST API you connect Seamless to your own systems. A project portal or an ERP can then, for example, automatically create a team for every new project, with the same templates, names and rules as in the Seamless app.
In the Seamless API Explorer ↗ (opens in a new tab) you can see all endpoints and test them directly with your Microsoft 365 tenant.
The basics
| Topic | Details |
|---|---|
| Address | https://sml-api.io |
| Format | JSON |
| Authentication | Bearer token in the Authorization header, valid for 24 hours |
In all examples we create the team 260215.001 - Project Atlas in the organisation Contoso with the template Project.
Your first call in three steps
Create an API key
In the Admin Center, go to Settings > API keys, create a new key and store the secret securely. It is shown only once. Guide: API keys
Get an access token
Exchange the tenant ID, key Id and secret for an access token. Guide: Get access token
Call the API
Send the token in the header with every call:
GET https://sml-api.io/organisations
Authorization: Bearer eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1Qi...The response shows your organisations. You are now ready to, for example, create a team.
