Document libraries
In the Document libraries section you see all libraries of the SharePoint site, for example Documents, Team Message History and Teams Wiki Data. For each library you check and change who has access and which sharing links exist. You manage who belongs to the group under Members.
Permissions
Click Permissions for a library.
Grant access
- Under Search to add users or groups, search for people or groups.
- Open Advanced settings if needed:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Grant site level read access | Also adds the person or group to the visitors of the site. This way they can also find the content through search. |
| Access level | Access to this library, for example Read or Write |
- Click Add.
Existing permissions
Under Users and Groups you see who has access, with the number of entries. For each entry you see:
| Element | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name and type | For example the owners of the site as SharePoint group or the owners of the group as Microsoft 365 group |
| Access | Owner, Write or Read |
| Cross | Removes the access |
By default, the SharePoint groups Owners, Members and Visitors of the site and the owners of the Microsoft 365 group have access.
Sharing links
Click Sharing links for a library. Seamless shows all sharing links to files and folders in this library.
Seamless reads the sharing links when you open them. For large libraries this takes a while. You can leave the page and come back later.
You remove all sharing in a library at once under Utilities.
